Is the biometric scan mandatory?
No. The standard ID scanner is sufficient for most attended locations (like inside a bar). The biometric upgrade is there if you need extra security for unattended locations.
What happens if the internet goes down?
The standard ID scanner can verify the data on the back of the card locally. However, for payment processing and cloud logging, a stable WiFi connection (supported by our high-gain antenna) is recommended.
Can I turn off age verification for non-restricted items?
Yes. Our system allows you to configure the machine. If you are selling t-shirts alongside vapes, you can require ID for one row but not the other.
