Built around what you're selling
Custom Elevator Vending Machine
A premium bottled drink, a graded card slab, and a sealed salad container all need to arrive intact, but nothing else about them is the same. The bottle needs to land upright at the right temperature. The slab needs a locked compartment, not just a soft landing. The salad needs to stay sealed and cold until someone's actually ready to eat it. Elevator delivery solves the drop problem for all three, but the machine around that platform still has to be built differently depending on what's riding in it — which is the whole reason a custom elevator vending machine exists as its own build path rather than a single fixed configuration.
Every VMFS elevator platform runs the same core system underneath — same OS, same payment rail, same cloud dashboard — but a custom elevator vending machine gets shaped around the product on top of that foundation. Premium bottled drink builds add dual-zone temperature control. Trading card builds add locked compartments for graded slabs and UV-protective glass. Fresh food builds add freshness monitoring and sealed delivery. None of that comes from picking a different platform; it comes from configuring the same one around what you're actually selling.
Location shapes the build just as much as product does. A custom elevator vending machine headed for a hotel corridor near the pool needs different weatherproofing than one going into an airport gate area with round-the-clock foot traffic, and an outdoor drink build needs the IP65-rated housing that an indoor arena concourse machine doesn't. If a product, venue, or regulatory situation doesn't quite fit a standard build, that's exactly what the custom path exists for — different trays, different load ratings, different compliance hardware, engineered around the specifics instead of forced into a template.
The tradeoff is time, and VMFS is upfront about it. A standard custom elevator vending machine build ships in 14 to 28 days, while more complex configurations, dual-zone, custom wrap, or outdoor treatment, run 45 to 75 days. That's longer than a snack machine, but it's the difference between a machine that protects what you're actually selling and one that just happens to have an elevator inside it.
